In a service of baptism (or christening) the Church proclaims what God has done for his people in Christ and offers us a way of entering that movement from darkness to light, from death to life, from being self-centered to being God-centered. It is the beginning of a journey with God which continues for the rest of our lives, the first step in response to God’s love. Please get in touch if you’re interested in arranging a baptism (christening) for your child or for yourself. We’ll talk you through the service and help you to think about whether baptism is the right choice for you and your family. Our baptism services take place on the fourth Sunday of most months, either in the main communion service at 10am, or in a special baptism service at 12noon. Download our 2017 Baptism Leaflet. If you want to find out more, the Church of England website has lots of useful information about the baptism service.
